Studio Journal

We build brands that feel inevitable — clear in the brief, sharp in the craft, honest at launch.

Est. 2014

Independent studio working from Istanbul with partners across Europe and the Gulf.

Our Story

Three chapters that still shape the studio

Not a corporate timeline dressed as copy — the decisions that still show up in every kickoff, critique and launch plan.

Mysia studio Origin
Chapter 01 2014 Brand desk

Started as a small craft desk

Mysia began with two designers and a shared rule: no decorative work without a job to do. That discipline still shapes every kickoff — audience first, then system, then pixels.

  • Listen-first workshops before any moodboard
  • One definition of done, written with the client
  • Craft standards that survive the handoff
Design critique Growth
Chapter 02 2017 Multi-discipline

Grew into a multi-discipline studio

Strategy, brand, product UI and front-end now sit in one room. Fewer handoffs, faster decisions, and a single voice from moodboard to production code.

  • Shared tokens across brand and product
  • Senior leads stay on the brief end-to-end
  • Critique culture instead of slide theatre

Chapter 03 Now Launch focus

Still measured by what ships

Awards are nice. Usable launches matter more. We stay for the first thirty days after go-live so the work keeps earning its place in the market.

  • QA checklists before the green light
  • Thirty-day post-launch support window
  • Iterate from real usage, not vanity metrics
What we protect

Four non-negotiables on every brief

Not slogans on a wall — filters we use when scope gets noisy and timelines get tight.

01

Clarity over decoration

If an element does not carry meaning or action, it does not ship.

02

Systems before one-offs

Tokens, components and rules that marketing and product can share.

03

Honest scope

We say no early so the yes we give can actually be delivered.

04

Launch, then learn

Ship ready work, measure the first month, iterate with intent.

Milestones

A short studio timeline

Key turns from the first brand desk to the studio you brief today — selective growth, same craft bar.

2014

Studio opens

First brand system for a local retailer. The listen-first workshop format is born.

2017

Product & front-end join

UI and engineering sit beside brand — fewer decks, more shipped interfaces.

2021

Regional partnerships

Long-term retainers across Istanbul, Dubai and Berlin with shared design ops.

Today

Still a studio, not a factory

Selective roster, senior-led projects, and room to do the work properly.

How the week actually looks

Prototype review

Hybrid by default. Deep focus mornings. Client workshops midweek. No vanity meetings.

Working with us

Practical answers before the pitch

Straight talk on engagement, timelines and what we need from your side.

Discovery workshop, written scope, design system or product track, then a staged launch plan. You get a single point of contact and weekly visible progress — not status theatre.

A senior lead who stays on the project, plus the craft roles the brief needs — brand, product or front-end. Juniors support; they do not own the relationship.

No. If the ask is purely decorative, the timeline is fantasy, or the decision chain is unclear, we decline politely and recommend a better fit when we can.

Send a short brief or book a 30-minute call. We reply with fit, rough timeline and next step — not a generic pitch deck.
